All VES courses are aligned with the Ontario curriculum and include comprehensive lessons, assessments, interactive and hands-on activities, and videos. The independent option is for families and students who want to register for a course and work independently.

The learning coach answers content questions and grades assessments. All content is accessed through the Learning Coach Portal.
The learning coach tracks student progress and achievement using tools that are provided.
The learning coach may use the detailed course outline and gradebook to indicate evidence of student learning.

VES courses are presented on Brightspace by D2L, which is a safe and secure learning environment. This learning environment is password protected, and each student is given a unique login.
